- I.N.T. Mentors
I.N.T. Robotics was founded by a group of mentors and FIRST alumni from different schools and backgrounds who are passionate about spreading opportunities to students across NYC to explore the limitless possibilities of STEAM. We strive to break common stereotypes in the STEAM industry while encouraging students to take on STEAM careers and have new traits, from confidence to resilience to problem-solving. We plan on using our community FTC and FRC team to prepare students to tackle bigger STEAM events and foster versatile intellect in finding solutions on an engineering scale. As we Inspire New Trends (I.N.T.) by creating experiences in STEAM for the next generation of youths to explore, expand, & embrace, we also empower students to become leaders, creators, and change-makers in their communities. Join us as we build a community that promotes innovation, fosters creativity, and transforms lives through the exciting world of robotics. We start this new journey as a united and diverse front in STEAM.
I.N.T. was started after we noticed a common gap within our N.Y.C. community: some schools and students desire to pursue STEAM but lack the resources to do so. With that, we wanted to specifically start a community robotics organization where any student from grades 4-12 can join and bring their creativity to life. With a high percentage of underserved and low-income communities in N.Y.C., we felt this was a great way to give back to the community that gave our FIRST mentors, now alums, a gift and a family away from home. I.N.T. sets a standard like no other team — a standard to ensure success, life skills, and, most of all, family for students to feel safe, comfortable, and eager to learn new innovative techniques daily.
